 Why Sci-Fi Fantasy and RPG Games Only? Why Science fiction, Fantasy, and Games only? It is a niche, a part of the larger market of literary works. It is also the niche I currently write in. Yes I could open the page to all authors but than it would be imposable to target market any specific types of literary work. It is vary important in being found on the internet to target you products or services to a specific customer base or need. Hence the limited content of this site. It is simply a well established fact that niche marketing works better than having a vary broad spectrum of product and attempting to market to everybody. Large companies that have lots of capital (on the order of 10 to 100 thousand) to spend each month on advertising can. Companies like overstock.com , Costco, walmart, etc are large business interests backed by literally billions of dollars in annual revenue with which to market themselves. Now you mite be thinking well what about the large book sellers on line or the POD companies they market all different sorts of literary works. Yes they do, but they do not produce any of them. They may manufacture as in the case of POD companies but they do not create any. So what this means is if they sell one book per month from 1000 different writers they sell 1000 books, but the author sells only 1. This is the vary reason for limited topic content, to draw those interested in science fiction and fantasy to a smaller number of authors. The hope is to help authors sell more copies each of their work instead of helping one large POD or Book list sell a vary few from each author. Now If I where to take a commission or some how profit from the sales of all literary works promoted through www.painbrain.com I of course would than want as wide a offering as passable. However since I am just one of the authors listing my own work here to attempt to sell a significant amount of my own stuff a limited pool of authors helps. additionally since I do not write for instance romance, or scientific texts I do not want people looking for those kinds of work coming to my site. It would be a waist of their time and not generate sales for any of our authors. I hope this helps you understand why I have chosen to limit this site to a narrow topic field. I am not adverse to other literary subjects and may consider building pages or sites devoted to them if this one works.
